There might be a slight delay in deliveries due to Covid-19 guidelines levied across the country. Thank you for your support and patience
Lagom is the happy outcome of our decade long experience of working in rural India and farmers, recognising urban India’s deep disconnect with nature and disregard for environment, and our separate personal inner journeys finding a common point of expression.
Not quite sure when the thought crystallised in our minds about setting up a dedicated store for retailing Wild Ideas but it seemed as if we both carried the thought, albeit silently. Water and soil mattered. Being socially responsible mattered. We understood there is no separation–we are the environment. So when www.lagomworld.in finally found expression, it seemed inevitable though neither of us had any remote connection to e-commerce or retail. Needless to add that Maithreyi, Founder of Wild Ideas, played no small role in this. She is not just inspiring but contagious as well.
We just had to be a part of the unfolding story that was not just transforming lives of disadvantaged rural women but was also creating a whole new vocabulary around rural enterprises.

Circle of Support
We have been fortunate to be at the receiving end of generosity. Most are not part of Lagom and yet they have been generous with their time and expertise. If the site and store looks beautiful, all credit goes to friend Deepak without whom, I am sure, we would have taken much longer to get here. If our marketing collaterals have wowed people, it is all thanks to Jalesh who doesn’t think twice before getting it done, and that too in the shortest possible time. Cannot forget college going Yasha who dons the mantle of a photographer at the drop of a hat.
Charting Next Phase
Three industry veterans known for their leadership, impeccable planning & execution skills and penchant for details (devil is always in the details) have decided to throw their might into Team Lagom as Strategic Advisors to achieve our stated objectives. As co-founders of KAP Consultants, a SME focused business and strategy consultancy, that Abey, Raj and CP were college mates is the icing on the cake.
The “K” of KAP, Raj Kalady, an MBA in Marketing with over 30 years of experience, set up the India office for Project Management Institute (PMI) and as the MD grew the profession & community for 11 years. He has held senior Management positions in Manipal Education & Aptech and has been successful in direct sales, channel development, marketing and is also technologically savvy. His other interests are scuba diving, photography and running.
E Abraham Mathew

The “P” of KAP, Padmakumar Chandrasekhar, co-promoted Peninsula Polymers Limited in 1983, one of India’s earliest medical device companies in the organised sector. He was part of the team that pioneered the use of disposable plastic Blood Bags in India. Market leader for 35 years with a footprint in over 80 countries, it was acquired by Japanese medical device major, Terumo Corporation from which CP retired in March 2020 as its CMD. His experience includes complex negotiations, sales and marketing, quality management, safety and failure analysis. He was nominated by the Government of Kerala to the board of a Government company set up to manage the Life Sciences Park in Trivandrum. His other interests are sports, reading, mentoring of small business owners and managers, animal welfare, and women and children related issues.
